MLB Props Picks – Our Top Bets on September 8th

Sandy Alcantara was one of baseball’s most reliable arms in 2022, but he’s had some trouble in recent trips. He will bounce back well against Velez and is one of our three favorites on Thursday’s shortlist.

It’s a light day on the diamond with only seven games on the MLB schedule. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t yet a lot of baseball betting value to be found in the player prop market.

Today, we’re highlighting Cubs debutante Seiya Suzuki, who will be looking to stay hot against the Reds. The White Sox will be looking to cash in on another Southpaw in Auckland. And Sandy Alcantara will try to put the feather in his Cy Young hat with another great – and long – start against Velez.

Suzuki is back on the right track

Chicago Cubs rookie Seiya Suzuki is once again finding his groove and looks like the man who came flying out of the gates to start the year. He’ll be looking to continue to hit the ground running this afternoon against the Cincinnati Reds.

Suzuki has been locked in the board since the end of August and hit .356 with .920 OPS during his last 12 games, which include six multi-stroke events during that time.

Today, he will rise to the top and see veteran Luis Sesa take the hill for the Reds. Cessa is making his fourth straight start for the Reds after spending most of the season as the team’s long-time assistant.

Over the last three starts Cessa has a respectable 4.09 ERA but could be on the right end in some regression, as his FIP is a much higher 7.20 in those games and gives up a 0.25 batting average for opponents.

Plus, Cessa’s long walk will be five innings. Then he will have to hand the ball over to the Reds who are ranked last in the MLB when it comes to ERA. At +130, the Suzuki is great value for staying hot and going over 1.5 overall base.

siya suzuki strut: more than 1.5 total bases (+130)

MLB betting analysis covers

Sandy goes long

The last time Sandy Alcantara had a rough start, all he did was deliver a full game against the best team in baseball – the Los Angeles Dodgers, giving up only one six-stroke inning during the 10-hit. And now, Alcantara will try it. He repeated this performance when he took the ball for the Miami Marlins against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Alcantara was roughed up by the Atlanta Braves last time, surrendering six runs with three strokes, including three home runs, in a start that lasted only five rounds. Yes, that qualifies as a short ride for Alcantara who is averaging 7.06 runs per start this season.

Despite some un-Alcantara-like performances in his last three starts, the right-hander is still the big bet of choice to win the match. National League Cy Young Award. Alcantara has an ERA of 2.97 and limits liabilities to 0.215 average expected batter.

But a big part of the reason Alcantara preferred to win Cy Young was his old-school ability to consistently play ball games. He leads the MLB by four full games and has completed seven rounds in 18 out of 27 games, and should be working late in tonight’s game against the Phillies.

Alacantara made four games against Philadelphia this season. He has a 3.03 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in those starts. The shorter ones lasted 6-1 innings. The other three went 7 2-3, 8 and 7 2-3, respectively. His recorded support for this guy is on the board at 19.5, which means 6 2-3 exchange roles for us. on me.

Sandy Alcantara pillar: More than 19.5 points have been scored (-110)

The Sears catalog has expired

The 2022 season did not go as planned for the Chicago White Sox. Most baseball experts will tell you that this is the most talented roster in Major League Baseball but it wasn’t played that way.

The White Sox is only 69-68 for this season and will need to win the division title if they are to hope for a postseason. But despite all their suffering, Pale Hose continues to do one thing well. This will crush the south. They will try to continue this trend when they visit Auckland A tonight.

Chicago ranks second in batting average (.274), seventh in OPS (.771) and fourth in wRC+ (121) when facing left-footed throwers this season. Tonight, they will be digging against the left JB Sears.

The Apprentice was a potential client who traded from the Yankees in a Frankie Montas deal. Since arriving in Oakland, A’s Sears has made a full-time start and the results have been promising. South has a 2.63 ERA over his first five starts.

However, there is room for some regression there. Sears’ FIP number is more than a full run higher at 3.88 and is giving up his 0.270 hitting average for opposing hitters since arriving by bay.

Sears also allowed six or more hits in three straight starts. Back to the White Sox lineup to make it four in a row.

JP Sears strut: More than 5.5 results are allowed (-105 in DraftKings)
